Promomed Group donated eight thousand packages of Areplivir® for the Republic of Mordovia

Promomed Group will provide four thousand people with Areplivir®, recommended for the treatment of COVID-19 of any severity, as part of assistance in combating the pandemic on the territory of the Republic of Mordovia.

Promomed Group donated eight thousand packages of Areplivir® to help in combating coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Mordovia. This amount of medicines is enough for a full course of treatment for four thousand people.

As a manufacturer of Areplivir, a drug included in the guidelines of the Russian Ministry of Health for the treatment of COVID-19, we have allocated eight thousand packages of this vital remedy for patients with coronavirus, striving to contribute to the fight against the pandemic. Additional resources will never be superfluous in the current situation,» said Maxim Smagin, CEO of Promomed.

Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Mordovia Oleg Markin at a meeting of the headquarters for the prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection said that the medicines received will be issued after mandatory consultations with attending physicians to people over 60 years old.

Areplivir® has a direct antiviral effect; it is recommended by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for the treatment of COVID-19 of any severity. In the course of clinical trials, which began in June 2020 and took place in five medical institutions of Russia under the leadership of full members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, this drug has proven its high efficacy and safety, preventing progression of coronavirus infection to a severe form.
