The first graduates of the university department in partnership with the Biokhimik JSC (member of the Promomed Group) received diplomas
In July, the company's team will be strengthened by young chemical technologists trained in partnership with the Ogarev Mordovia State University at the department established with the support of Promomed Group. Twelve bachelors received diplomas of higher education in Chemical Technology, four of them graduated with cum laude honors. All of them are employed by the company.
The training program was developed to train chemical technologists for the needs of the enterprise, taking into account the requirements of professional standards and the federal state educational standard. The leading specialists of the Biokhimik JSC were directly involved in the training process. Two laboratories were created on the basis of the Institute of Physics and Chemistry with the support of the Promomed Group: training-and-production laboratory of chemical and pharmaceutical technologies and training-and-research laboratory of synthesis of active pharmaceutical substances. The laboratories with modern equipment allowed students to conduct practical classes and scientific research, master the synthesis of pharmaceutical substances and methods of analysis of complex organic compounds, and learn how to develop new drug products. During training, the students received additional scholarship from the company.
«The department prepared students for real production processes even before they started working in the company,» the Executive Director of the Biokhimik JSC Dmitry Zemskov is sure. «The plant will employ young specialists with a huge potential, competencies in the field of technologies for creating pharmaceutical substances and ready-made dosage forms. This knowledge will be useful to them in working at a new production site – a workshop for the production of active pharmaceutical substances. Most of the graduates will take part in its opening.»
The Promomed will continue to invest in employees. This year, a master's degree program in the «Design, development and production of drug products» and postgraduate courses have been organized.
The Department of Chemistry and Technology of Physiologically Active Substances was established in 2018. The main task is the employer-sponsored training of specialists for the needs of the enterprise. Further cooperation of the enterprise with the university will significantly improve the quality of training of specialists in the pharmaceutical industry.
