Promomed Group supported opening of special courses in chemistry and mathe-matics in Saransk schools
Since the beginning of the school year, special courses «Future Biochemist» on in-depth study of chemistry and mathematics have been organized on the basis of two Saransk schools with the support from Promomed Group. Classes will allow school students to decide on future profession and better prepare for the final examination. The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the Republic of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed Group Petr Bely, Executive Director of Biokhimik JSC Dmitry Zemskov and representatives of the Ministry of Education.
«Excellent equipment, university-level teachers are the best thing we could offer to future specialists not only in Mordovia, but also in the Russian Federation. I want to express my gratitude personally to Petr Alexandrovich Bely and Promomed Group in general – to everyone who made contribution to the project. It was less than a year ago when we discussed what to do with the problem of a catastrophic shortage of qualified specialists. And today the enterprise and the guys are already united on the school basis, and, most importantly, all this happens quite harmoniously. Let me repeat once again, we are on the right path,» said Head of the Republic of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov.
Promomed Group conducts systematic work with potential employees, striving to participate in the education of future specialists at all stages of their training. The practice of interaction with universities and vocational educational institutions has already made it possible to grow and employ specialists trained for the needs of the company. Promomed looks wider and focuses on in-depth study of certain disciplines in the basic school curriculum.
«Young people who want to work in the most interesting industry, I mean pharmaceutical industry, need to start preparing for this not in the university and not even in the graduation class, but much earlier. Our «Future Biochemist» project was initiated for this purpose. After training in this course, we have an employer-sponsored at the four best chemical universities in Russia – the Ogarev Mordovia State University, the Mendeleev Russian Chemistry Technology University, Pharmacy Department of the Moscow State Medical and Dentistry University and the St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University,» said Petr Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed Group.
The «Future Biochemist» project is implemented on the basis of gymnasium No. 19 and school No. 17. More than 140 students of grades 8-11 from all educational institutions of Saransk have already become its participants. The course was developed jointly by teachers of the above mentioned schools and staff of the Ogarev Mordovia State University. The curriculum included an in-depth study of chemistry and mathematics, interesting and illustrative experiments in organic and inorganic chemistry, lectures by university researchers and specialists of the Biokhimik plant. Training also includes olympiads and contests. Promomed Group has equipped the classes with all equipment for practical work.
The «Future Biochemist» project is the first step in the implementation of the company's personnel pool strategy.
