Areplivir for Doctors event in Perm Krai

A thousand packages of the drug included in the guidelines for treatment of COVID-19 of approved by the Russian Ministry of Health delivered by PROMOMED to medical institutions of Perm Krai

On December 1, a delegation of PROMOMED company arrived to Perm with All-Russian Areplivir for Doctors charitable campaign to help medical workers. Deputy Chairman of the Perm Krai government Sergey Nikiforov held a meeting with chief physicians of medical institutions of the region, where COVID-19 patients are treated and representatives of PROMOMED. Petr Bely, the chairman of the board of directors of PROMOMED holding informed that Perm Krai is the fourth region of Russia which received from the manufacturer a free shipment of Areplivir intended for the treatment of doctors working in red zones. He drew attention to the fact that thanks to personal agreements with the Perm Krai Governor Dmitry Makhonin, a thousand of packages of medicine were delivered to the region.
«This is a great help for our medical workers. Doctors need support – they are at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus, demonstrating heroism and saving hundreds of people every day. I really hope that this modern medicine will speed up the recovery of doctors and help them get back to work sooner,» Sergey Nikiforov says.

Anatoly Kasatov, chief physician of the Perm Regional Clinical Hospital, notes that the doctors of the medical institution already have experience using the active substance favipiravir in moderate and severe COVID-19 and have not observed side effects.

Perm Krai has signed an additional contract with PROMOMED for another seven thousand packages of Areplivir. They will be used for treatment of COVID-19 patients in hospitals as well as patients on outpatient treatment. Almost 33 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes.
