Promomed 18 February 2022

One of the most important principles of Promomed Group is the solution of global health problems. The company is engaged in the production of drugs for the treatment of coronavirus infection, cancer, endocrine diseases, and diseases of central nervous system.

In 2018, Biokhimik plant (member of Promomed Group) became a participant in the Labor Productivity national project. By the time the project began, the plant was already applying the principles of lean manufacturing – even before the reconstruction, the company managed to improve productivity by 15%.

During the participation in the project, the plant has managed to significantly optimize processes, including improving the management of people flows, reducing the labour hours, and automating technological processes.

«We stepped over several generations of industrialization when we rebuilt the plant. At that time the Labor Productivity national project appeared. We have achieved significant improvement in our quality indicators,» said Petr Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed Group.

«For the first three months, representatives of the Federal Competence Center were present here on a daily basis. They went through all this with us. They went through all this with us. We met, drew the flows of personnel movement, even walked and measured the height of the tables so that it would be convenient to work,» said Dmitry Zemskov, Executive Director of Biokhimik JSC.

«We are already implementing these continuous improvements in our new projects. We save money by not building what is unnecessary, and we produce more products with less equipment and personnel,» Dmitry Zemskov added.

«Pharmaceutical production must always be state-of-the-art. Othewise it is not a pharmaceutical production, but just a pharmaceutical workshop,» commented Petr Bely.

RBC TV channel, together with the Federal Competence Center (FCC), produced a special broadcast dedicated to the implementation of the Labor Productivity national project at Biokhimik JSC.
