Promomed Group held the grand opening of a new high-tech tablet production at Biokhimik plant
On December 17, 2022 at the Biokhimik plant, the production site of Promomed Group, the grand opening of a new high-tech tablet production took place with the participation of Viktor Bondarev, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, Artem Zdunov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia, Fedot Tumusov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor Protection, Sergey Glagolev, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, and heads of executive bodies of the Republic of Mordovia and institutions of higher professional education. Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, made a video message.
New high-tech line of Biokhimik JSC is intended for the production of strategically important drugs, including in case of termination of supplies from foreign pharmaceutical companies, in line with the assignment of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The production capacity of the line is 1 billion tablets per year. Investments in the project amounted to more than 1.8 billion rubles.
In his video address to the opening ceremony, Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, said: «The pharmaceutical industry responded in a timely manner to the challenges of COVDI-19 and established the production of drugs that saved thousands of lives of citizens of our country in the shortest possible time. I would like to express confidence that the inclusion of a new production site in the production assets of Russian pharmaceutical manufacturers will increase our confidence and will became the key to the development of healthcare in general and the pharmaceutical industry in particular in the Russian Federation.»
New tablet production of Promomed Group is one of the most modern industries in Europe, where vacuum convey technologies replace human labor. The line is equipped with the most modern technologies, including for the manufacture of multilayer and compound tablets produced in conditions of photosensitivity and zero humidity.
«You are on the right track and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you have done and what you will do quite a bit more. You make a huge contribution to the security of drug supply in our country,» shared his thoughts Viktor Bondarev, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security.
«By opening such production facilities, we prove to the whole world that Russia is capable of being completely independent in technological matters. We can produce the necessary equipment, train people, go all the way to protect intellectual property, act as a team,» stressed Artem Zdunov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia.
The new production will produce antiviral, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, and heparoprotective drugs. In the near future sachet dosage forms will be also be produced. The control over ensuring the required conditions and process parameters is carried out by means of monitoring, data collection, dispatching and timely control of process parameters, which makes it possible to produce the highest quality products on all lines of the Biokhimik plant.
«Now Russia has equipment for the production of cutting-edge drugs of any degree of complexity that really save lives, drugs for the treatment of especially important nosologies,» said Petr Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed Group.
At the opening ceremony, the best employees of the enterprise were awarded diplomas of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, letters of acknowledgment from the Head of the Republic of Mordovia, and diplomas of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection.
