The advantages of Vincent and Enligria for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and overweight discussed in Kazan

Recently Kazan hosted the conference “Conscious weight-modifying therapy as an investment in the health and quality of life of patients”. The event brought together more than 60 leading endocrinologists from Cheboksary, Yoshkar-Ola, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Izhevsk, Kirov, Naberezhnye Chelny, as well as chief specialists and chief non-staff pediatric endocrinologists from Udmurtia, Chuvashia and Tatarstan.

The conference focused on issues related to the therapy of overweight and type 2 diabetes mellitus and on discussions of launches of the first domestic GPP-1 receptor agonists, Enligria and Quincenta, which are produced in Russia in full production cycle.

A welcoming speech at the conference was made by Farida Valeeva, doct. med. sci., professor, chief non-staff endocrinologist of the Russian Ministry of Health for the Volga Federal District, Head of the Endocrinology Department of the Kazan State Medical University. There was also a joint interactive presentation by Tatyana Markova, doct. med. sci., professor of the Endocrinology and Diabetology Department of the Evdokimov Moscow State Medical University, and Nikolai Matsievsky, cand. med. sci., associate professor at the Endocrinology Department of the Mechnikov North-West State Medical University. During the presentation, the experts discussed the current problems of restoring metabolic health, and the role of Enligria and Quincenta in the treatment of overweight patients or patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. In turn, Gulnara Vagapova, doct. med. sci., professor, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, chief non-staff endocrinologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, shared with colleagues the advantages of chemical synthesis of products. The event was held in the format of a discussion, where all participants had an opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences.
