Promomed 18 May 2021
Within the framework of the «Areplivir to Doctors» program, Promomed Group donated more than 1,000 packages of Areplivir to doctors working in the Russian Railways healthcare system. The medicine will be distributed to the medical units of Russian Railways JSC in 75 regions of Russia.

The Russian Railways healthcare structure has almost 64 thousand medical workers who work in 104 hospitals and 144 outpatient clinics of the largest transport company in the country. In addition, within the framework of the national projects «Healthcare» and «Demography», doctors of Russian Railways provide medical care to residents of hard-to-reach areas and small towns using mobile health centers and «Health trains».

The «Areplivir to Doctors» program provides for the creation of stocks of this drug in medical centers for the treatment of physicians, including junior medical personnel working with patients with COVID-19.

Areplivir is a drug with targeted action against RNA-containing viruses, which include SARS-CoV-2. In the course of clinical studies conducted in 2020 under the guidance of full members of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 5 medical institutions in Russia, it demonstrated high efficacy in the treatment of a new coronavirus infection (ensuring the elimination of the virus from the body, improving lung condition, reducing the risks of progression to severe stage, and accelerating recovery). The drug is included in the priority treatment regimen in the guidelines for the treatment of COVID-19 approved by the Ministry of Health. It is included in the list of vital and essential medicines.

Since the launch of the charity program in October last year, Promomed has donated more than 16 thousand packages of Areplivir to medical workers in different regions of the country.
